The place

The apartment is placed in San Casciano Centre, inside the building named “ Cassero Castle “ which was built in 1356 as a fortress in defence of the town walls surrounding the village . Afterwards, the castle became an abode for eminent travellers coming from Florence towards Siena and Rome .

Even though the Residenza is placed in the heart of the medieval town , in its highest and most panoramic side, nevertheless it is surrounded with tree-lined roads , gardens and orchards . San Casciano is an ideal place to visit both Chianti and Siena and the city of Florence with its surroundings, fromwhere it is about 15 km.far .

The central position of the Residenza allows to enjoy the town life with its monuments and works of art, cultural events, festivals and musical evenings organized by the municipality all summer long . More, it is very nice to wander round the village, going for a walk along its central narrow roads, between restaurants offering tuscan specialities and taverns with the best of the Chianti wine production .

The Abode

From a central small square (Piazza Cavour) ,through a big gate, you get in a drive bordered with olive trees which brings to the Cassero castle . On your right , passing through a small shady terrace, which is usable as open space for having breakfast and relax, you enter the apartment which is such composed : at ground-floor one large living-room with dining area and small kitchen .

From the living-room you get in a double bedroom , one bathroom with shower stall and one lumber-room with washing-machine . At one side of the living-room through a spiral staircase, you go up to a second two single beds bedroom . The apartment is about 80 sq.metres and has 2+2 bed places .
