The Sante Marie abodes are set on the hillside of Impruneta, charming village at the beginning of the Chianti Classico area. Easily reachable from the A.1 Motorway (Exit Certosa) and from the Siena Freeway from which the Residenza is about 5 km.away, the resort represents a strategic point to visit Florence,the Chianti and Siena areas . Florence is just 12 km.away from here and it is well served by public transportations, whereas Siena is reachable in 30 minutes by car . Within a range of one hour it’s possible to get to a lot of famous towns as Pisa ,Lucca,San Gimignano,Greve ,Volterra,Montalcino and so forth . The Residenza Le Sante Marie is in the Falciani hamlet at about 4 km. from the chief town of Impruneta . Set in a hilly position the place offers pleasant landscapes over the country and a special cool climate ,even in full summer, due to the presence of deep woods of pines and oak trees which can be crossed by foot ,departing from the Residenza, as far as the main square of Impruneta in about two hours of walking : a wonderful walk which allows you to visit the old town of Impruneta famous for its church,the cotto kilns and the excellent extravirgin olive oil . A nice and relaxing stay for country lovers at short distance from the most charming places of Tuscany.

Until 1985 the complex served as rural annexe of the farm “Podere Santa Maria” where a very good Chianti wine was produced . Later the country structure was transformed for getting two holiday apartments and other buildings related to the tourist activity . The building consists of two L- shaped contiguous apartments which are let separately or together according to the number of guests . In this second case we can get just one apartment ,without separation,at disposal of the entire group .

A large equipped garden (200 sq.meters wide) with barbecue surrounds the property . It has been fenced for children or animals safety . One side of the garden stands in the shade for relaxing ,the other side in the sun to sunbathe . In front of the apartments it has been made a laundry with washing machine and other facilities which also serves as storage for the garden equipment. Outside the property two car spaces are reserved to the guests .

The apartments

Sole apartment ( once it was a country storage + barn) . It stands on two levels (ground and first floor) and consists of a livingroom with fireplace and dinette with kitchen on the groundfloor and one double bedroom + one two single beds bedroom + bathroom with shower on the fist floor. One small storage room stands close to the kitchen . The apartment is 70 sq,meters large and accommodates 4 + 1 added bed on request .

Luna apartment (once it was the Vat room) It stands entirely on the groundfloor and consists,at the entrance, of a wide room (5x7 meters) divided in two spaces : the dining area with kitchenette and dining table and the living area with double sofa bed . Next to the main room open a particular double bedroom with two oval niches which once served as horse manger . On the other side of the apartment open a large bathroom with shower . The apartment is 60 sq,meters large and accommodates 2+2 .

Sole + Luna : a soundproofing door (joining the Luna bedroom to the Sole diningroom) can be removed forming just one apartment : 130 sq.meters apartment accommodating 6+3 sleeps.
