The Place

The holiday house is set on the hills of Vaglia,at 530 mtrs. on the sea level,at about 20 km. from Florence, at Paterno village,a small hamlet set in the vicinity of Via Bolognese leading to the Mugello ,an area of great art and naturalist interest . From the house start some paths for walks,rides and mountain bike rides. The area is a site of Community Importance for the peculiarity of its wildlife . At only 10 km. at Barberino del Mugello, is set the Bilancino lake ,area of tourist Interest for water sports and habitat lovers (canoe,windsurfing,biking, Birdwatching,fishing,sailing, Trekking and so forth) .

The Mugello gives Nature and Art lovers good chances visiting the villages of Vicchio,Borgo San Lorenzo and Barberino : here a big Commercial Center (Outlet) has been recently opened with the presence of famous names of the italian and foreign fashion where to go for shopping at good prices . For Ferrari fans we point out the presence ,at 10 km., of the Mugello International Motor racing track . At Scarperia Village is set a 18-hole golf course . The place,furthermore,is very close to Florence (reachable even by train and bus) and to its famous hills of Fiesole, Bivigliano and Montesenario .

A charming and relaxing stay close to nature and to the numerous attractions the land may offer . If you decide to spend here a holiday week you‘ll soon realize the time is still sufficient for enjoying all the things offered by this tuscan land . The Holiday house The holiday house,used until the XVIII century as retreat abode for nuns, is set at the top of one of the hills rising around Vaglia. The place is reachable through a dirt road climbing over the hills between woods and cultivated fields . The property consists of wide open spaces,gardens and woods and, in the middle, of a three-units group of rural buildings,two of them (the smallest) with access from the groundfloor and one(the largest) from the first floor . Each apartment has a private open space (garden or terrace) with a view over the country . At short distance from the houses is set the pool with wide shady spaces all around for relaxing and for the children play .

The apartments are furnished and decorated in the typical tuscan rural style, with wooden-beam cealings,stone arches and cotto floor .

Apartment “ La Casa del Sole” 

70 sq.meters – Groundfloor – One- roomed flat . Living/Diningroom with fireplace . One large bedroom with two single beds and one double bed . Kitchenette with fridge and electric oven . Bathroom with shower ,bidet and W.C . Private garden . 4 sleeps . A large open arch separates the living area from the sleeping one .

Apartment "Il Capriolo" 

90 sq.meters on two levels . Two-roomed flat . Groundfloor : Living/diningroom with fireplace and kitchenette . First Floor : Double bedroom + two single beds bedroom . Small Storage . Bathroom with shower ,bidet and W.C Private garden . 4 sleeps . The two single beds bedroom is on crossing .

Apartment “La terrazza”

110 sq. Meters – First Floor – Three roomed flat . Terrace in front of the entrance . Livingroom with fireplace and double sofa bed . One double bedroom and one two single bedroom. Bathroom with shower ,bidet and W.C . 4+2 sleeps .
