The place

The apartment is set in Florence in Via delle Porte Nuove , very close to the Porta al Prato square,one of the main entry into the historical centre of the city . At short distance are many important places of the city life : the central Railway’s Station Santa Maria Novella with next the congress activities of the Palazzo dei Congressi and the Palazzo degli Affari or the fair activities at the Da Basso Fortress . The Leopolda Station,with its frequent cultural events and the new Music Park ( close to the Maggio Musicale theatre) are other places set near the apartment . In less than 10 minutes by foot you can reach the Cascine Park, famous for its large meadows and tree-lined avenues . The city center is easily reachable by foot in 15 minutes or taking one of the numerous bus lines running across the Porta al Prato square. The location is convenient also for reaching the University Pole or the Law Courts taking one of the buses running along the road . Even the Polimoda School is set in a convenient position . The place is easy to be reached by car, standing out of the area closed to traffic : along the bordering roads it’s possible to park the car and just a few steps from the apartment there is a private garage (to be booked in advance) . A convenient discount of general foods stands at three minutes of walking distance as well as many shops and services . The central city police district stands just at the end of the road.

The apartment

 It is set on the first floor of an early 20th-century building (no elevator) : it is an elegant two roomed flat ( 50 sq.meters) which consists of an entrance,livingroom with kitchenette and dining table + double sofa bed , double bedroom (or two single beds on request) with reading area and writing desk . Large bathroom with shower facing a terrace with washbasin and washing machine . Soundproof windows with fly screen. Silent,bright,comfortable and cosy. Suitable for a couple with children or two students .

 How to reach the apartment :

By car : Take the exit Firenze Nord of the A.1 Highway and proceed towards Florence through the junction road . Follow the direction to the Central Railway’s Station Santa Maria Novella . Arrived at Belfiore Avenue go on,taking the right hand, towards the Porta al Prato square. At the 2nd traffic light, turn right along Via delle Porte Nuove . Go on for 300 meters and look for a parking along the bordering roads. The civic number is the 49 .

From the Railway’s Station Santa Maria Novella : Take a taxi or a bus to Porta al Prato square and go on by foot . Bus suggested : # 17 .

From the Leonardo Da Vinci Airport: take the shuttle bringing to the Station square and proceed as for the previous point .
