The apartment is in the main square of Greve in Chianti (Piazza Matteotti) hospitable and pleasant village set in the center of the Chianti Classico area .

Starting point for excursions towards the most famous Chianti resorts as Radda,Castellina and Gaiole,Greve is at halfway between Florence and Siena,both reachable by car or public transportations in about half an hour . Greve is well-known for its wine production and it is the ideal destination for food-and- wine tourism lovers.

A very well stocked winery and a recently inaugurated wine museum are a chance not to loose indeed, as well as the Falorni delicatessen . Furthermore many wine farms use to open to the public their cellars for tasting or purchasing wine or simply for letting people visit the environment where the famous Chianti wine is made .

Nevertheless many other attractions are present in Greve, as the numerous castles and villas, the ancient romanesque churches and the medieval villages,scattered everywhere on its territory . Also for sport lovers Greve offers many opportunities with its numerous riding grounds,tennis courts,pools and one of the most beautiful golf course in the Region .

The nerve centre of Greve is the Matteotti square : it is very singular with its triangular shape,the historical Verrazzano’s Statue and the arcades which surround it all around . Under the arcades take place many activities : Restaurants, hotels, wine shops, delicatessen, baker’s and butcher’s shops, florist and wine accessories . From spring to fall the square is theatre of many activities and events : the local market every Saturday morning, the biological market, the flea market, the wine festival, the horses blessing, the cart burst on Easter , open-air concerts and many other things .

The apartment

The apartment is just behind the Giovanni da Verrazzano’s Statue , famous explorer and navigator who discovered the New York Bay . It is a well furnished apartment set on the third floor of an old building directly facing the square . It consists of a large double bedroom where it’s possible to add a third bed on request . Next, open a room which serves both as living room and as bedroom with two single beds and TV set . At the entrance open a dining room with kitchenette + one bathroom with shower . 60 sq.meters large . 4+1 sleeps .
