The place

The apartment is in Florence in Via della Scala at 5 minutes walking distance from Piazza Santa Maria Novella and from the Railways Station . The location is very good for its closeness to the historical center and to the “Lungarni” that can be easily reached by foot . The Santa Maria Novella neighbourhood, where Via della Scala represents the main road, is one of the eldest in Florence : the ancient road takes its name from the ex-hospital of Santa Maria della Scala , founded in 1313 . Close to the apartment are the bus stations (Lazzi,Sita and Cap) that will lead you even to the destinations not served by the train . The city bus lines run along the Station square and in Piazza dell’Unità .

Particular stores, artisan workshops and antiquarian shops as well as “trattorie” typical of the traditional tuscan cooking make this neighbourhood a lively place, full of life, where to spend a pleasant stay . Along the road are present some counters of the main car rental companies and on the side streets are some private garages where to leave your car .

The apartment

Very cosy two-roomed flat set on the 1st floor of an old small building . It was recently restored in old-florentine style respecting and setting off the preexistent architecture as the wooden beam cealings , the stone arches and the “cotto” floor as well as some fresco on the walls which represents an element of great value. The apartment consists of an entrance-corridor at the end of which open a large living-dining room with dining table and kitchenette + one double sofa bed . In the livingroom open a balcony facing a courtyard ,one small storage with washing machine and a large bathroom with shower .

Laterally, on the corridor , open a fine double bedroom very cosy and well furnished with a wardrobe . Both the rooms have the windows on the back with no problem od noisiness . The apartment is about 50 sq.meters large and accommodates 2+2 . Ideal for a couple with children .
